Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I had unprotected sexual intercourse about 43 days ago. After 3 days of intercourse, I got my period and after the period stopped, I got a yellow thick vaginal discharge and ulcer around the genitals. So I went to the hospital and the doctor told me that I had a fungal infection. But I was so nervous and anxious about HIV so after 23 days of exposure I went for an antibody test and it came negative. My partner also underwent that test and it came back negative. But from the second week of exposure, I am experiencing mild fever, excessive burning sensation all over my body, mouth and tongue ulcer, gum pain and bleeding, muscle and joint pain, pin, and needling sensation, pus in eyes, excessive headache, and diarrhea. I am experiencing all these symptoms till now. But my partner tested negative. Is it possible to get HIV from a negative person?

Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Both you and your partner have tested negative. You need not worry about HIV. Be clear that from HIV negative person you cannot contract HIV. So HIV is ruled out. You may be suffering from other sexually transmitted diseases like chlamydia, gonorrhea, etc

I hope this has helped you. Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
