Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have hormonal acne in my jawline. They are not healing. I have an oily face. What can you recommend?

Please help.

Answered by Dr. S. Renjana

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I went through your query and understood your concern.

I would like to know if the acne is limited only to the jawline area and the duration of the acne. Please send me a photograph of the lesion. I suggest you use a mild cleanser and sunscreen suitable for oily skin. Avoid junk foods and dairy products which could lead to a flare-up. Also, do not break your acne. I suggest you can add Clindamycin (topical antibiotic) and Niacinamide gel to your skincare routine. Apply Benzoyl peroxide (topical antibiotic) gel at night.

Kindly consult a doctor, talk with them, and take medications with their consent.

I hope this has helped you.

Thanks and regards.
