Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Can you please give me answers to the following questions, please? After having sex for the first time, is there a way to speed up the cure and stop bleeding of the hymen? How should the bleeding part be cleaned and with what? How do I know that the hymen is totally restored or cured? How long should I wait for the next intimate relationship? Thank you.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

The bleeding should stop on its own. Clean with only plain water. If bleeding continues for more than one or two days, then consult a nearby gynecologist, you may require some medicines or even a stitch to stop bleeding. Once defloration happens, then hymen cannot be intact. Pain and bleeding should stop on its own within two days maximum. Do not have sex for at least 20 to 30 days. And after that also, do not have rough sex and use lubricating gel for some time. The hymen will not restore and remain torn, and some remnants will be seen as the time passes.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
