Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
I am a 19-year-old female with a weight of 97 pounds and a height of five feet. I have inflammation and swelling in my knees due to a bed bug bite. I am not taking any medication. Kindly suggest.
Thank you.
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I have gone through the attached picture (attachment removed to protect patient identity). You seem to have an insect bite reaction. The inflammation present around the area can be there for a minimum of two days and it subsides on its own. Do warm compress on the affected region. You can use Fusibet cream (Fusidic acid with Beclomethasone 0.1 percent cream) over the affected region twice daily after thorough cleaning of the area. Take tablet Paracetamol 500 mg twice daily for three days for the pain and inflammation. You can take tablet Teczine M (Montelukast with Levocetirizine) on the night for three days if there is itching. I am unable to see an open wound and taking oral antibiotics can help you a lot. Please send a more clear picture to see it. Do not be worried as this will subside soon.
I hope this helps.

Thank you and take care.
