Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
I am undergoing invisalign treatment. My teeth have straightened out, bite is correct and the midlines of my top and bottom arches are aligned. However, both arches are about 1mm off from the midline of my face. Is this something that can be fixed with elastics? Or if I were to have more IPR, how much enamel can be safely removed from canines or front incisors?
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
Kindly upload an image of your teeth in closed position and lips wide open as much possible for assessing the current situation. As you have mentioned rest all of your complaints have been resolved but still there is 1 mm shift from the midline joining your nose and lips. Although it is a complicated matter as if you use elastics or any kind of further aligning appliances can change your overall appearance and tooth may be misaligned as before. Invisalign is also a costly procedure. So kindly do not go for any of those. Luckily I have an answer that will resolve your issue and will perfectly align your tooth to the midline. You need to place Crown over the upper and lower central incisors on both sides (four crowns total). So once your dentist does this, he can brilliantly match the midline accordingly and the rest of your teeth or the jaw position will not be disturbed. So just by doing this, you can have a picture-perfect smile forever. Although I would like to see the image of the tooth, kindly upload it. I guarantee your complete correction and life long perfect smile. I hope this helps.
