Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I do not know anyone suffering from IBS. Some of my family, friends, and close ones have commented about the same. I have really bad anxiety and cannot work when I am out. I have two children, and they are now saying to me the same thing. I do not get the sensation of passing stools. I get a lump in my throat. I feel sick but have no sensation at all. I have difficulty in passing stools, and they are stinky. I cannot empty my bowels. It gets stuck, and I have to remove them from my finger. I can not push it out. I have to spray water to push out my stools. However, I have watery stools. Please help.

I have changed my diet and am quite fit and not overweight. Honestly, I have thought about killing myself. I have lost all my friends, and I can not get a job which puts pressure on my family. I have split up with my children’s mother because of this. I have had tests and scans, and the results showed that it is not a big enough issue to have surgery. I have told doctors about my situation, and I can see their reaction as if they do not believe me. I get medication. I do not want to leave my house, and honestly, you have no idea what it feels like to have people say to me have you pooed yourself. I do not want to miss my children growing up; I need help.
