How to cure an itchy and dry testicle?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am 29-years-old and I have an allergy on my right testicle. It is itchy and dry. Please suggest a solution for this problem.

Thanks.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

You are suffering from lichen simplex chronicus of the scrotum. I suggest using Mometasone cream twice daily for 10 days and tablet Levocetirizine and Motelukast twice daily for 10 days. Consult a specialist doctor, discuss with him or her and start taking the medicines with their consent.

I hope this helps.

Thanks.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Thanks for the reply.

My problem came under control and that skin allergy is clearing now. There is no itching and no dryness. Thanks for the suggestion. Should I continue the medication or can I stop? Please advice.

Thanks.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

Reduce the dose to thrice weekly for a month. Stop taking oral medication.

I hope this helps.

Thanks.
