Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I had gone through the data posted.

There will be certain factors that you should fulfill for eligibility to get LASIK (laser in-situ keratomileusis). A few are given below.

  1. Your eyesight has to be stable for two years. It means your point should not change.
  2. Age should be more than 20 years.
  3. The most important is corneal endothelial thickness. If the corneal endothelial thickness is less, we cannot perform LASIK.

Kindly tell me the reason for rejection, so that I can explain it to you.

Regards.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

My corneal thickness is 492 and 497 microns. They said that I have high plus power, and so LASIK is not suitable for me.

I would like to know if there are any advanced LASIK options available.

Please suggest.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

I had gone through your query.

  1. For plus power sight, we can do LASIK safely till +6 power and that too after 35 years of age.
  2. For power more than +6, there may be a risk of complications and most of the people were unhappy with the treatment.

Take care.

Regards.
