Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have been having a mild vague achy and warm sensation throughout my left leg and thigh for the last few hours. I feel it when I am not moving, especially when sitting still or trying to fall asleep. Moving seems to make it feel better. I am 39 years old. I am generally in good health. Should I be concerned? Kindly suggest.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have read your query and understand your concern.

Such symptoms can be due to:

1. Vitamin B12 deficiency or spinal cord nerve compression in the lower back.

2. A peripheral vascular disorder.

3. A local nerve or vessel being intermittently compressed due to surrounding soft tissues or bone.

If the sensation continues you need to consult a physician and have yourself examined and investigated to confirm the diagnosis. Further treatment will proceed accordingly. Meanwhile, you can take multivitamin supplements, do appropriate physical exercise to improve circulation to the limbs and avoid prolonged sitting or standing and maintain adequate hydration. I hope you find this helpful.

Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
