Hi,
Welcome back to icliniq.com.
Local care of the wound is very important for ensuring good repair. Antibiotics will help fight infection if any (tablet Roxid), and antiseptics like Povidone Iodine should be used to clean wounds. Dressing of the wound is needed to promote rapid healing and improve the appearance of the resultant scar. Apply Mupirocin ointment (hydrating layer of antibiotic ointment) on the wound, then a contact layer of non-adhesive material, an absorbent layer of dry gauze or cotton pads, and the outermost securing layer of tape or other bandaging material. Antibiotics cream can be Fusidic acid, Mupirocin, Nadifloxacin or Soframycin any one of these. Non-adhesive material could be Vaseline (petrolatum gauze) or Chlorhexidine which makes the removal of dressing atraumatic. Dry gauze or cotton filler must extend beyond the margin of the previous contact layer. The last layer (final securing layer) should hold all these layers properly in relation to the wound and provide mechanical support while distributing firm but comfortable pressure to the underlying wound (micropore or sticking plaster can be used). Wound care is very important. Eat Vitamin C or citrus foods like oranges, sweet lime, lemon, berries, avocado, etc. Vitamin C has healing properties. Tablet Limcee 500 mg once a day before breakfast for 30 days. Adequate rest ensures faster healing. Occlusion promotes wound healing. Wound healing is a dynamic, complex process involving the repair of wounded skin tissue. It follows an orderly, successive regular sequence of events that characteristically involves inflammation, formation of granulation tissue, and tissue remodeling. Take tablet MBVC (Multivitamin B complex) at night for one month. Are you diabetic or anemic? Do you have uremia or renal issues? Are you on steroids? These factors delay wound healing. I hope this was helpful.
