Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I do not have any symptoms other than high blood pressure that are well controlled with medication. My dad died at 70 years old, only two months after a sudden diagnosis of kidney cancer, thus my concern regarding these results. All my other blood work, such as CBC, CMP, lipids, and HbA1C, are in normal ranges. Please find my aldosterone laboratory results below.

  1. Aldosterone was 3.2 ng/dL.
  2. Renin activity plasma was 45.951 ng/mL/hr.
  3. Aldosterone/renin ratio was 0.1 ng/dL.

Kindly help.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

Regarding your high level of renin and low level of aldosterone, I think you have adrenal gland hyperplasia. You can do an adrenal gland ultrasound because I believe this is connected to your high blood pressure. Please reply with the result so I can prescribe some medications. Schedule another appointment for follow-up via chat, phone, or video consultation.

I hope this information will help you.

Thanks.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
