Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

My husband seems scared during sex, and I feel he lacks sex urges. It has been one year, and he is often nervous when I ask for sex. Please help.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I can understand your concern.

The reasons behind your husband's low libido can be many.

  1. Infections like urine infection,
  2. Diabetes or hypertension.
  3. Hormonal disturbances like low testosterone, low levels of thyroid, and high prolactin levels.
  4. Obesity.
  5. High cholesterol levels.
  6. Chronic disease or on any chronic medication.
  7. Anxiety.

I suggest you follow the below-mentioned instructions:

  1. Get a complete urine profile, lipid profile, and ultrasound of the pelvis.
  2. Get checked for hypertension (blood pressure) and diabetes (random blood sugar test)
  3. Check for thyroid function tests, prolactin, and testosterone levels.
  4. Exercise and perform yoga regularly.
  5. Take a tablet of Tadalafil 5mg, twice a day as a temporary solution.

Kindly consult a specialist, talk to them, and take the medications with their consent.

I hope this information will help you.

Thank you.
