Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have read your query and understand your concerns. It is natural to feel worried if you notice any lump around your private part.

A picture would have helped, but if the lump is at the entrance of your private part, you would need to do a sitz bath and take antibiotics. If the lump is on the hairy part and not at the entrance, then antibiotics should be sufficient.

So do not worry, and most lump-like pimples on the hairy part arise from either bacterial or viral infections. It could commonly be a furuncle, an infected hair follicle cyst, among others.

Please take the following medicines:

  • Tablet Cefuroxime (Cephalosporin) 500 mg twice a day for seven days.
  • Tablet Ibuprofen 400 mg every eight hours for three days.

These steps would surely help in alleviating your pain and in aiding the healing process. Please try to stick to the treatment that was prescribed to you and visit the doctor too, in addition to taking your medications.

I hope you are satisfied with my answer. For further queries, you can consult me at iCliniq.

Thank you.
