After seeing this lesion (attachment removed to protect the patient's identity), it looks like an oral mucocele. It is unlikely to be precancerous or cancerous even because you can see the borders of the lesion are slightly bluish purple and this is a very common site for mucocele to occur. Also, these kinds of lesions should ideally heal on their own, meaning they do not require any intervention. But still, some measures should be followed, because of the reason is salivary glands would be present in this region and they are blocked.

You feel it is bony because it is a soft tissue swelling that has come up over the jaw bone at that region. It is just swelling due to gland obstruction. Now the only issue is that this needs to heal within 15 days. If this bump is still persisting then you will need to get a biopsy done because of the non-healing nature in that case.

But it is unlikely and it is just a probability I am giving you it is the case with any oral red or white lesion. It looks tiny and there is no chance of this to be precancerous or cancerous. So nothing to be anxious about. The contents after all might be more cystic. Follow the following instructions:

1. Start lukewarm salt water rinsing your mouth several times a day to eliminate the risk of this cyst or mucocele getting infected.

2. Follow this around five to six times a day and you can do it for two weeks.

3. Ideally start with Chlorhexidine mouthwash twice a day, along with tablet Evion 400 mg (vitamin E tablet).

4. Antioxidants are required for oral healing.

5. Avoid hot hard or spicy foods and chew from the backside, do not exert chewing pressure on the front tooth or it will be irritated even more.

6. These measures will definitely help you. If it still has not reduced in size or it is present after 14 days from now, visit the clinic for an opinion from a surgeon or you can re-enclose the pictures to me here, so I can examine whether it has come down in size. Some cysts can be stubborn because of the blockage and mucoceles commonly are also cystic.

I think it is ideal if you start the vitamin E tablet again for a week. The fact that the pus has popped means you have nothing to worry about right now.

Take tablet SM Fibro regularly for three months. You can take this antioxidant every day and I do not think it needs a prescription.
