Why am I facing bowel problem whenever I go to my native?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a 21 year old male. I came to my native recently for my holidays. I have an issue of frequent bowel movements of around six times a day. But, it is normal and not loose. I also feel some irritation and heat during bowel movement. Also, this is the second episode. First time I got this too when I came to my home town. Otherwise, in my work place I am good. Is this due to food?

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

The problem you are experiencing seems to occur only during your stay in your hometown, suggesting a possible connection to either an infection or a change in food type. It could be related to an Entamoeba infection, which is worth considering.

Additionally, milk allergy might be causing similar symptoms. I recommend observing whether you develop such symptoms after consuming milk and, if so, consider switching to a different type of milk. Cow milk is generally lighter and well-tolerated. Avoiding red chillies in your diet might also be helpful.

As a general health tip, try having lemon with lukewarm water every morning.

If the above measures do not bring relief, you can try taking tablet Metrogyl 400 mg (Metronidazole) twice a day for five days. However, it is crucial to consult a specialist doctor, discuss your symptoms with them, and seek their consent before starting any medication.

did you take metrogyl course ? and if its still persisting then u got to take tablet normaxin twice a day to regularise bowel movements. have gud amount of roughage in the evening which will add bulk to the stool. you can try having ispaghula husk at night. see it's not a disease but a lifestyle issue . try morning walk or jogging, anything which brings back your routine will b helpful rather then medicines
