Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am currently experiencing cramps in my lower abdomen, legs, and waist. I took the tablet Ibuprofen 200 mg, but the medication did not even lessen the pain. I am on the first day of my period. I might need a medical certificate because I was sent home from work. The right part of my head also hurts. I have a headache and dizziness. Why does this happen on the first and second day of my menstruation?

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Ibuprofen 200 mg is a lesser dose for you, so I suggest you increase the dose to 400 mg. If you experience pain every time during periods, I would suggest you undergo an ultrasound examination once to check if there is any abnormality in the uterus or pelvic organs. Sore breasts are also associated with hormonal changes, so kindly do an ultrasound examination and send me the reports. Do you experience any discharge from the vagina? Are there any rashes over the vagina?

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
