Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have been facing bowel discharge problems, and my stomach gets larger when I eat. And I have also been facing period irregularities for a year. My body has been gaining weight for some months, and it is a lot of weight, like 15.4 pounds in three months. I have consulted with a doctor and tested. I do not have thyroid but a PCOD. But about my bloating issue. I have not found any solutions to the problem mentioned above. Please suggest me something.

Thank you.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and understand your concern. I hope you have started medicines for PCOS (polycystic ovary syndrome).

But along with medications, you should also do regular exercises, yoga asana, diet modification (take high fiber diet) and maintain weight within normal BMI (body mass index). It will help you with PCOS and also with bloating.

Gaseous distention usually occurs due to indigestion and dehydration, so you should keep yourself hydrated and take at least seven to eight glasses of water daily. Do daily brisk walking for at least 20 to 30 minutes.

I hope this information helps you. Feel free to ask further queries,

Thank you.
