Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I have an abnormal mensuration problem. My periods last for six days, and after two days, bleeding starts again. Please help.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

After going through your ultrasound and thyroid report (attachments are hidden to protect the patient's identity).

1) Your thyroid hormones are under control, and hence you need to continue the same medication.

2) USG (ultrasound) reports shows 3 millimeter kidney stone (which will pass on its own if fluid intake is increased) - hepatomegaly and fatty liver changes, which is seen in women who are overweight - bulky uterus - slightly larger uterus. Abnormal bleeding can occur in women with thyroid complaints.

Does this abnormality occur every month, and for how long?

Also, are there any other symptoms like increased pain during periods or before?

It would be better to start birth control pills to regularise cycles. Also, your BMI (body mass index) is 28.6, which falls in the overweight category. Hence the loss of weight around 5 kilogram in two months will help regularize.

Kindly get in touch in case of any queries and regards.

Kindly revert back with the answers.

Kind regards.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
