Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a 22-year-old male. I have nasal drainage that tastes like copper and extreme sensitivity to carbon monoxide. No pain and hard to breathe. Yesterday, I took a shower. Today I cannot breathe when I took one. A pressure that feels sore between my trap muscles and back of the neck. I have blurred vision in the left eye. I cannot look at screens or light, or it makes me sick.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

For the nasal discharge, you have to take an antihistamine tablet as Levohistam once daily with breakfast and intranasal corticosteroid spray like Avamys once daily. If the copper taste's nasal discharge continues after 10 days of treatment, you should perform a CT scan with fine cuts for your nose and sinuses to exclude any defects in the skull base leaking cerebrospinal fluid. Now let us talk about the blurring of vision and sensitivity to light. These symptoms need a neurological specialist as it may be a sort of migraine. You can use anti-inflammatory drugs as Brufen 400 tablets twice daily to relieve pain, but it is not a final solution. It is just a symptomatic treatment until consulting a neurologist.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
