Hello doctor,
I am 45 years old. I have had a migraine headache for the last two months. My doctor suggested some medications, but I do not have any relief. When I am watching TV or laptop, my migraine headache aggravates rapidly. I cannot tolerate the pain nowadays. Could you please tell me the triggering factors of migraine and how to get rid of these migraine headache?
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com
Thank you for your query. The headache you described could be not only due to migraine; other causes should also be considered. Uncontrolled hypertension and issues with your eyes, ear, nose throat should be thought of. I suggest you check for your vision and ENT issues to rule out any associated conditions. Triggering factors for migraine include lack of sleep, food like chocolate, cheese, salty and processed food, skipping meals, and hormonal changes in women. These include alcohol, especially wine, and too much caffeine, such as coffee. Sensory stimuli, bright or flashing lights, can induce migraines. Strong smells such as perfume, paint thinner, secondhand smoke, and others trigger migraines in some people. Thank you.
