Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I had a mole on my neck, and I got it operated. But after the stitches opened, I got swelling in that mole. What is it, and how can I treat it?
Please help.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I went through your query.
After a mole is removed, it is common to experience some swelling, redness, or tenderness around the surgical site. This is a normal part of the healing process and should gradually improve over time.
However, if you are experiencing significant swelling or other symptoms, such as pain, drainage, or fever, you may have an infection or other complications. In some cases, people may worry about a cancer lump on the back of the head or other unusual swelling after a skin procedure. In this case, you should contact your healthcare provider for further evaluation and treatment.
To help manage swelling and promote healing, I suggest you try the following:
If you are concerned about the swelling or have any other questions or concerns, I would recommend contacting your healthcare provider for further advice. They can provide more detailed information about your specific condition and help you develop a personalized treatment plan.
Hope it helps.
Thanks and regards.
