Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
I am a 32-year-old male. I have a very small topical cut on my penis where the shaft ends. It does not normally cause pain, but pains on stretching. It happened last month once and went away. Now it has recurred while having sex. I am not on any medication.
Please help.
Thank you.

Please help.

Hi,
Welcome back to icliniq.com.
It is an infected ulcer. So, please take the following medications.
Tablet Clavam (combination of Amoxicillin and Clavulanic acid) 625 mg, thrice daily for seven days.
Mupi ointment (Mupirocin), apply twice daily and get a review after two weeks.
Strict abstinence from sex and masturbation for at least two weeks. Actually, the biggest reason for the non-healing of ulcers is frequent trauma. All ulcers require complete non-interference to heal.
I hope this clarifies your concern.
Please feel free to reach out if you have any further questions.
Thank you.

Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
Thank you for the reply.
I have had this for almost a month. At first, I thought it was just from shaving my pubic hair with a razor, but the blisters have not gone away. They do not hurt, and there is no pus or discharge.
I have attached photos showing all the blisters, and there are none anywhere else. The spots have not changed much, but they might have grown a little.
I tested negative for HIV about eight months ago during a health checkup. Should I be concerned?
Please help.
Thank you.
Hi,
Welcome back to icliniq.com
Since the lesions have persisted for about a month without resolution, it is advisable to have them evaluated. The absence of pain, discharge, or spread is reassuring, but a clinical examination is still necessary.
Try not to shave or irritate the area, and avoid touching the lesions. It is best to see a dermatologist or a sexual health specialist. If you have had any recent risk, you might also want to get screened for STIs.
Please feel free to reach out if you have any further questions.
Thank you.

Welcome back to icliniq.com.
You have been diagnosed with molluscum contagiosum, a viral infection. People with weaker immune systems, such as those living with HIV, are more likely to get this condition.

Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
Thank you for the reply.
I have started the medication. I have used Podophyllotoxin for one course of three days, and I am experiencing extreme painful irritation on my scrotum.
Please help.
Thank you.
Hi,
Welcome back to icliniq.com.
Some irritation is expected with this treatment. Please apply Vaseline to the surrounding skin and reduce use to twice weekly.
This procedure uses chemical cautery, so mild irritation is normal. If ulceration occurs, wait one week before resuming, then apply three times weekly.
Please also send photographs of the lesions for evaluation and monitoring.
I hope this helps.
Thank you.
Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
Thank you for the reply.
I am continuing therapy and have noticed significant improvement. However, I am experiencing persistent pain and stiffness in the area where the lotion is applied, despite using Vaseline.
Could you recommend a local anesthetic or a topical remedy to relieve the pain? It is currently affecting my sleep.
Please help.
Thank you.
Hi,

Please send your current photographs so I can assess the status and suggest the appropriate medicine accordingly.
How long have you been applying this?
What is the improvement in percentage?
I hope this helps.
