Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am a 26 year old man. I have thick sperm that stinks and my saliva is also lumpy and stinks really bad. This has been like this for a few years now. I have gone to the sexual health clinic and had urine and blood test. It showed up nothing and came back clear. I also think that it may be contagious. My doctor does not have a clue. Can you help me?

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com. It's important to recognize that the thickening of saliva and semen might not necessarily indicate a disease, but rather a natural variation. In many cases, the coagulation and change in odor of semen upon exposure to air is a normal physiological process. Increased awareness and concern might be contributing to the perception of these changes. Staying well-hydrated can help address these issues, as an adequate intake of fluids encourages the production of saliva and prevents it from becoming lumpy. Additionally, for any oral concerns, using a Chlorhexidine mouthwash a few times daily can help manage oral bacterial flora without necessarily implying an infectious condition. Ultimately, it's advisable not to overly worry and attempt to minimize focus on these matters.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
