Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
If a patient has the following cervical spine MRI diagnosis, would they have any pain? If so, what pain might they experience?
I have attached my reports for you to check. I had rib pain, and the onset was sudden, and it happened nine months ago. My doctor thought it could be from a strained oblique muscle from overexertion during a TRX exercise. I have had three tingling flare-ups since the original pain. The pain has gotten better, but not fully gone away. When tingling occurs, the pain seems worse. I have had unexplained right-sided pain in my ribs, neck, and shoulder. There is also some right-sided tingling on and off in the face, arm, and leg. But my neurologist did not think this could cause that pain. Just looking for a second opinion. If you think these MRI results could cause pain, what treatment route would you recommend?
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I thoroughly read your query and understand your concern.
I saw your reports (attachments are hidden to protect the patient's identity). You are doing the opposite. We usually correlate symptoms with MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) findings and not vice versa. The amount of compression does not correlate with the intensity of pain. Well, definitely, this can cause the pain you have. We can start with your treatment, as most of these things can be managed conservatively, but you need to answer a few of my questions.
1. What do you do? Is it a desk job?
2. How much physical activity is there in your daily routine?
Please revert with answers to the questions.
Regards.
