Thanks for sharing the picture (attachment removed to protect patient identity). You have a fingernail fungal infection, known as onychomycosis.

You will need to take the following medications for six to eight weeks, once a day. You will start seeing results slowly, but the full effect might take up to four to six months. You do not need to continue this medication beyond eight weeks. Take a tablet of Terbinafine 250 mg once a day for eight weeks.
