Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have had neck pain and a tickling sound when I move my neck for the past eight years. What could be the reason?

Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Thank you for your query. I reviewed your query. I suggest you to follow a few instructions mentioned below.

  1. Avoid lifting heavy weights.
  2. Avoid arching your back; bend your knees to pick up things.
  3. Avoid sitting for long hours.
  4. Avoid two-wheeler rides.
  5. Improve your posture while sitting. For example, sit with your back straight.
  6. Apply warm compress on the affected area.
  7. Apply Oxalgin (topical antiinflammatory) gel twice daily.
  8. Take tablet Pregabalin (anticonvulsant, analgesic, and anxiolytic) 75 mg at night before food for 15 days.
  9. Take tablet Etoricoxib (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory) at 60 mg twice daily after eating for ten days.
  10. Take tablet Rabeprazole (antacid) twice daily before food for ten days.
  11. Take a tablet of Shelcal (Calcium Carbonate) once daily before food for ten days.
  12. Take a tablet of vitamin D once daily for ten days and then once a month for 11 months. Take the tablets only if you are not allergic to them or do not have bronchial asthma.
  13. Practice physiotherapy and core strengthening exercises.

Kindly consult a specialist, talk to them and take medications with their consent. I hope this has helped you.

Thank you.
