How can I prevent nightfall?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have been suffering from nightfall for many years.

Kindly advise.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com. I understand your concern. Nocturnal emission in the form of wet dreams or nightfall is normal. It can be due to an increased erotic stimulus mentally, physically, or visually without sex or masturbation. At your age, you have high testosterone levels with around 20000 sperms produced every minute. You have to let them out either through sex or masturbation regularly, or else they would come out on their own during relaxation. As the cause is known, the condition is easily treatable. There are various ways to reduce the frequent erotic stimulus. I suggest the below steps:

  • Limit the intake of caffeinated beverages and foods after late afternoon. Consuming caffeine before bedtime can stimulate the brain and cause erotic dreams.
  • Take a cold shower before bedtime. This decreases excessive sensitivity in the genital region.
  • Limit and control your stress levels. Stress can be a triggering factor for anything and everything. Therefore to obtain a peaceful night’s sleep keeping a check on your stress levels is necessary.
  • Avoid sleeping on your back or stomach. These positions are known to cause sleep orgasms. Better sleep on your side.
  • Exercise regularly and keep your body and mind relaxed. Excessive tension, anxiety, or tiredness can elevate your chances of sleep orgasms.
  • Avoid watching and reading erotic content at night. These stimulate both your body and mind and result in wet dreams while you are asleep.

I also suggest you use tablet Pari 10 mg (Clonazepam and Paroxetine) once at night for 15 days. Consult a specialist doctor, talk to him or her, and start the medicine with their consent.

I hope this helps.

Thank you.
