Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Last week, I went to the doctor after having a nosebleed three days in a row. The doctor suggested a saline solution, which has helped. I had a blood test, and my white blood cell count returned high. The doctor said it was not a cause for concern or follow-up. He said it likely came out that way due to the blood loss from my nosebleeds. Could you review my results and let me know if you see anything concerning them?

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to iclinq.com.

Thanks for the query.

One report (attachment removed for patient identity protection) of your complete blood count shows a WBC count of 14, and another is 5.4. Because other CBC parameters are within normal limits, as per this report, there is nothing to worry about. The only thing is that immature neutrophils are 0.6 %. So, repeat CBC with peripheral blood film and send a report for review. Also, do a coagulation profile.

Thank you.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Thank you for your answer.

So, it sounds like nothing in the levels indicates it is something like cancer.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome back to iclinq.com.

As per the CBC report, there is no significant abnormality, but the immature cells are 0.6 % in the differential count of CBC, so it is better to confirm this by repeating CBC with peripheral blood film.

Thank you.
