Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

As a 28-year-old woman concerned about my oral hygiene, I want to ask the following questions:

  1. What are the fundamental elements of an effective routine?

  2. Could you offer specific guidelines for brushing, flossing, and rinsing to ensure optimal care for teeth and gums?

  3. How often should I brush and floss, and what is the recommended duration for each?

  4. Are there particular toothbrushes, toothpaste, or dental floss products you recommend for better oral care?

  5. Can you explain the significance of mouthwash in daily routines? Are there specific types for particular oral health concerns?

  6. What are common misconceptions or mistakes people make about oral hygiene that I should avoid?

  7. Are there dietary recommendations or habits that can promote better oral health and help prevent tooth decay and gum disease? Kindly help.

Thank you.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Please be aware and follow the below instructions to maintain good oral hygiene:

  1. Brush your teeth twice daily using the modified bass technique.

  2. Rinse your mouth with water after each meal.

  3. Avoid smoking and tobacco products.

  4. Use mouthwash only after oral prophylaxis for a maximum of 15 days.

  5. Opt for a coarse diet to aid in digestion and mastication.

  6. Schedule oral check-ups at least twice a year.

  7. Replace your toothbrush every six months.

  8. Avoid sticky or refined diets.

  9. Limit unnecessary medications or mouthwashes for better oral health.

I hope my advice will be helpful. Feel free to reach out if you have any further queries.

Thank you.
