Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
My partner has an ulcer in his mouth. We kissed each other last week (mouth to mouth) when I noticed an ulcer in his mouth. I also doubt whether he has any kind of disease in his mouth.
I do not trust him because he had affairs with so many girls before me. I am feeling feverish after seeing that.
Please help.
Thank you.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I understand your concern.
Not all ulcers are due to STDs (sexually transmitted infections). It may be due to stress or aphthous ulcers, herpes simplex virus, etc. Any respiratory disease can be transmitted by kissing.
Some STDs like herpes simplex can be transmitted by skin-to-skin contact or kissing or as STDs. The chances of transmission of HIV (human papillomavirus) by kissing are almost nil unless there are bleeding wounds in the oral cavity. Anyway, you can please go for an STD panel test (including HIV antibodies, HSV1 and IgM, and IgG antibodies test) now and after 90 days of last exposure for conclusive results.
I hope this helps.
Kindly follow up if you have more concerns.
Thank you.
