Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I was diagnosed with osteomyelitis about eight weeks ago. I went to the hospital every day for exactly six weeks to receive antibiotics called Rocephin. After six weeks of infusions, I could not go anymore as I had no transportation, not even money for the bus. So, I called the doctor and asked to be put on oral medicines because I could not make the last four days. But, he asked me to continue the infusions again, even though I have not taken them for a week and a half. Will the antibiotics be effective? Is the infection not going to go away?

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I agree with your doctor. You have to complete the antibiotic schedule as prescribed.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
