Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Thank you for replying. I have attached the pictures as requested. I would like to add that I have sex with multiple partners, but always with protection.

Answered by Dr. Nidhi Jain

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

I have gone through the pictures (attachment removed to protect patient identity).

  • You are suffering from candidal balanoposthitis.
  • I suggest the following medications:
  1. Tablet Fluka (Fluconazole) 150 mg 1 tablet daily for 10 days.
  2. Capsule Doxy 100 mg (Doxycycline) twice daily for 10 days.
  3. Canesten lotion (Clotrimazole topical), apply twice daily with your finger, over the affected area after washing it.
  • This condition is very common and recurrent is diabetics, obese and hypertensive patients. So, please take the necessary measures if you have any of the above conditions. Try the above and revert in 15 days.

Hope it helps. If you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to contact me sooner. Regards.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I got cured as per your prescriptions. But again, I faced a similar problem. Now, there is a soft and painless growth on the surface of the inner penis as seen in picture-3 and smaller growth behind and underside of the penis as seen in picture-1 and 2. I feel pain during sex.

Now, I just started taking the same medicines and applying the same ointment as prescribed by you earlier. I do have diabetes. My FBS is 170 mg/dL and my PPS is 240 mg/dL. I go for a morning walk daily, and I am taking sugar tablets. I am 54-years-old. Please advise me.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Please resend your picture 1 and 2. In photograph 3, it is genital warts.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Thank you for the reply.

I am resending the other pictures. What is a genital wart, and what is the permanent cure? Please advise me.

Answered by Dr. Nidhi Jain

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

A genital wart is a viral infection caused by the human papillomavirus.

I suggest the following medications:

1. Tablet Ascazin (Zinc acetate) thrice daily.

2. Condyline lotion (Podophyllotoxin), apply once daily over the lesion after protecting the periphery of the lesion with vaseline.

Avoid any kind of direct physical intercourse, that is, without a condom, as it can lead to transmission to the partner. I hope it helps. If you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Thank you for the reply.

1. Instead of Condyline lotion, I got Podowart paint (Menarini make), can I use it, or is Condyline more effective?

2. For how many days are the tablet Ascazin to be taken?

Answered by Dr. Nidhi Jain

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Condyline (Podophyllotoxin) is not only more effective but much safer too. Tablet Ascazin (Zinc acetate) is needed to be taken for three to four months. It also inhibits the recurrence of the lesion. Regards.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Thank you for the reply.

1. Is it required to stop sex beyond an age? If so at what age?

2. How to remain sexually active even with increasing age?

Please suggest any medicines, vitamins, etc.

3. What is the safe frequency for sex every week?

Answered by Dr. Nidhi Jain

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

1) There is no age limit to having sex.

2) Take a good diet. Do regular exercise. I suggest tablet Tentex royal (Gokshura and Kokilaksha).

3) Any frequency is safe, which will make you and your partner satisfied.

Regards.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Thank you for the reply.

I have been taking Ascazin tablets, and improvement is there. I will continue it for six months as you advised earlier. But, the condyline lotion is not available in market. I searched a lot in local places. Please prescribe an alternative or tell me how to get this lotion.

Best regards.

Answered by Dr. Nidhi Jain

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Continue tablet Ascazin, and you can use Podowart twice weekly. I hope it helps. Regards.
