Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Does Paliperidone tablet conceal a pregnancy? I have had a positive urine test but multiple negative blood tests. I have also had three ultrasounds. Two ultrasounds showed a corpus luteum cyst with a uterus size of 9x4x5 and an endometrium of 9 mm. I have had some spotting and two days of bleeding, but too early to be my period. If I am pregnant, it will be 15 weeks. I am also showing a tummy and have had some pain and popping in my uterus. I have a gynecologist appointment in two weeks because I think I might still be pregnant despite the negative blood tests. What can a gynecologist do for me?

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and can understand your concern.

Paliperidone does not conceal pregnancy. As per your history, I can say there might be a false positive urine pregnancy test. The blood test can have higher accuracy if done after missing periods or even as early as the 25th day of the cycle if you have a regular cycle of 28 or 30 days. The gynecologist will check by examining you and will prescribe medicine for withdrawal periods if there is no pregnancy. Increased tummy can be due to increased weight or fat proportion in the body. Do some exercises and walk.

Hope this helps.

Thanks and take care.
