Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I had a panic attack two years back. My doctor prescribed anti-depressants. Though they stop panic attacks, I now have nerve-ringing-like sensations all time near my left ear. Also, I feel confused and have headaches sometimes. Please help.

Thank you.

The symptoms of panic disorder include sudden attacks of fear and nervousness, as well as physical symptoms such as sweating and a racing heart. Panic attack always happens due to an underlying anxiety disorder. So you need to treat anxiety disorder. Anxiety disorder is treated with the help of counseling and psychotherapy.
