Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
I am a twenty-seven-year- old male.
These are my symptoms:-
Itching in-between thighs.
Reddish rashes on the head of my penis. These rashes are painless and also present on my testis.
These rashes are very itchy but sweet.
It started last year but I also had it four years ago. I was given an intravenous (IV) at that time. I cannot remember the medicines but I took those medicines till five months. It comes back now again.
One of the retired nurses of my village prescribed me Penicillin procaine for ten days along with Sulpher cream. I have taken these medicines and the symptoms reduced but again they came back.
What I have observed is that the rashes got healed on themselves for some time and they would come back. That retired nurse told me further that it is syphilis (of tertiary phase). The red rashes are also emerging on my palms now. Please prescribe me the appropriate medication.
Thank you.
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I read your query and understand your concern
1) Depending upon your description of the problem it seems that most likely you have a penile chancre.
2) It could be due to syphilis or some bacterial infection.
3) You can take an injection of Ceftriaxone 2 grams intravenous twice a day for up to 5 days.
4) If it does not heal with it you need to get it investigated by considering a local smear of the wound and lab examination of the same.
Thank you for consulting me.
