Can shaky finger, anxiety and twitching of toes be due to Parkinson's disease?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have been having shaky fingers and toe twitching for some time. Also, I have an anxiety problem and restless leg syndrome. The internet showed that these symptoms were related to Parkinson's disease. I am very anxious and do not know how to manage this. Kindly help me.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and understand your concern. However, for Parkinson's disease, I would like to know; whether the tremors are present at rest and disappears during movement? Does someone in the family have this disease? Are you slower in movements than earlier? Are you able to get quality sleep? Do you have any palpitations? I would also suggest blood tests like thyroid hormone level and complete blood count. Kindly revert.

Thank you.
