I feel a stinging pain around my frenulum every time I get an erection. Why?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am a 22-year-old male with this weird penis pain around my penis frenulum, mostly felt at erection. About a week ago, I was masturbating, it is a bad habit, and I remember holding my grip quite tight. Suddenly, I can feel this stinging pain around my frenulum every time I get an erection, and it is weird because I cannot see any cuts or tears, and on the touch, I cannot feel pain. What is wrong with me?

Please help.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

There might be a small skin tear which might not yet healed due to repeated stretch and masturbation at short intervals. I suggest you apply Fucidin (topical antibiotic) cream twice daily and allow ten days for healing, during which no masturbation should be practiced. This is a very sensitive area, and if it is irritating a lot, you need to take care of it and allow it to heal well.

I hope this helps.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Thanks for your reply.

This makes complete sense. Because over the days, even when it hurt, I did not stop masturbating.

Thank you.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

I suggest when showering, use a mild soap like baby soap because soap can cause irritation and delay healing.

I hope this helps.
