What could be the reason for white discharge from my penis?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am having symptoms such as a white discharge from my penis, and it has a bad smell. I visited a physician in person, and he suggested medicines for a fungal infection. But I cannot find any difference after taking it for the past two days. What to do? Am I suffering from gonorrhea or any other STD (Sexually Transmitted Disease)?

Kindly help me.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I went through your query and understood your concern. The white discharge is usually a fungal infection. Unhygienic condition is the cause. I suggest you clean the area gently with soap and water. Also, I suggest that you locally apply Clotrimazole (antifungal medication) ointment two times a day. As you are concerned with STDs (sexually transmitted diseases), you need an STD panel test.

I hope this has helped you.

Thank you.
