Can penile stretches cause pain in the penis and pubis?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a 29-year-old male and I was performing penile stretches which might have caused the injury. I am experiencing pain at the base of my penis when touched. The head and shaft of the penis are slightly swollen. There is slight pain on the left side of the pubic or pelvis region. I have no burning sensation or problem while urinating. It has been three days since the symptoms appeared. Please help.

Thank you.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have read your query and I can understand your concern.

You should take anti-inflammatory and anti-acidity medications. I suggest you take the following medications:

  1. Tablet Enzoflam (Diclofenac and Paracetamol) twice a day for five days.

  2. Capsule Razo D (Rabeprazole and Domperidone) twice a day for five days.

The swelling will decrease after taking these medications. Consult your specialist doctor, discuss with them, and take these medicines with their consent. In case, the swelling increases, you must consult a surgeon immediately.

I hope this information will help you.

Thanks and regards.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Thank you for the reply.

I have undergone circumcision previously. The frenulum is swollen and a gland-like structure under the urethra appears slightly swollen and tender to the touch. The penis is also in a semi-erect or semi-flaccid state. Is this just part of the inflammation? Do I have to worry about any possible infection? There is no sign of any discharge. Please help.

Thank you.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

I have read your query and I can understand your concern.

Circumcision is not the cause of your condition but might benefit it. It appears to be an inflammatory condition. Hence, I suggest you take the following medications.

  1. Tablet Enzoflam (Diclofenac, Paracetamol, and Serratiopeptidase) twice a day for five days.

  2. Capsule Razo D (Domperidone and Rabeprazole) twice a day for five days.

  3. Tab Augmentin (Amoxicillin and Clavulanic acid) 625 mg twice a day for five days. Taking antibiotics will not harm you but may be beneficial.

The swelling must reduce after taking medications. If not, consult a surgeon.

I hope this information will help you.

    Thank you.
