Augmentin is an antibiotic medication that contains Amoxicillin and Clavulanic acid. This combination is more effective than when Amoxicillin is prescribed alone in treating bacterial infection. Augmentin is prescribed for ear infections, dental infections, pneumonia, urinary tract infections, and throat infection.
