Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have eye bags under my eyes, and I have gone through a cheek filler. But the tear trough is still dark. I want to correct the tear trough and improve my facial skin quality. I am planning to have PRP on my face. Is it fine to get PRP at a young age after the fillers?

Please help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I went through your query and understood your concern.

According to your history, it seems you have dark circles under your eyes. Periocular hyperpigmentation is a common cosmetic concern in your case. Post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation due to continuous rubbing of eyes in allergic conjunctivitis and atopic dermatitis, lack of adequate sleep, and stress are the common causes of this condition. In your case, I suggest you follow the instructions mentioned below,

1. Use an eye cream daily during the night and can opt for a chemical peel. The most frequently used peels for dark circles are Arginine and Lactic acid peels. Argipeel is one of the readily available combination peels for dark circles. It contains Arginine (20 %), Lactic acid (20 %), Aloe vera (1 %), and Allantoin (0.5 %). It should be done once in three weeks and require four to six sessions for good results. Other peels like Glycolic acid (15 to 20 %) with Kojic acid also give good results.

2. I also suggest using a mild face wash twice daily.

3. Try to get adequate sleep.

4. Eat lots of green vegetables and fruits.

5. PRP (platelet-rich plasma) is another good option. It is safe even after fillers and at your age, but results are variable.

I hope this has helped you.

Thanks and regards.
