Q. Can I take Phentermine along with Cymbalta?

I take Cymbalta 60 mg for depression and Trazodone 100 mg for sleep. Can I take Phentermine for weight loss without problems of serotonin syndrome?

Cymbalta, which contains the active ingredient duloxetine, has a serious interaction with Phentermine. When taken together, they can increase the toxicity of each other and pose a potential risk for serious or life-threatening interactions. Additionally, there is a risk of developing serotonin syndrome, which is a condition caused by excessive levels of serotonin in the body and can be life-threatening.
