Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I delivered my baby six months back. But my stomach still has not gone down. I can still feel hard on my stomach. I guess it is that my uterus has not shrunk. What can I do? Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and can understand your concern.

The abdomen often goes to the pre-pregnancy state. However, in some females, it does not go to the previous form.

  1. I suggest you wear an abdominal belt and start doing yoga and abdominal exercise, which helps strengthen your belly muscle and decrease the belly size.
  2. Drink more water.
  3. I suggest you do one ultrasound to confirm any swelling over the uterus, which is felt over the belly.

I hope this helps.

Thank you and take care.
