Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am looking for recommendations or anything I can do for a better sexual life. I believe I have premature ejaculation and I want to last longer in bed.

Please help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I went through your query.

Here are some self-help strategies that may help for a better sexual life.

1. Practice the stop-start technique: This technique involves stopping sexual activity just before ejaculation and then starting again. Repeat this process several times to help delay ejaculation.

2. Use the squeeze technique: This technique involves squeezing the penis just below the head (the corona) to delay ejaculation. Squeeze for a few seconds, then release and continue sexual activity.

3. Practice pelvic floor exercises: Strengthening the pelvic floor muscles can help improve control over ejaculation. Squeeze and hold the muscles that stop urine flow for several seconds, then release and repeat.

4. Communicate with your partner: Let your partner know about your premature ejaculation (PE) problem and work together to find solutions that work for both of you. This could include slowing down the pace of sexual activity or incorporating other forms of sexual stimulation.

5. Manage stress: High levels of stress can contribute to PE, so finding ways to manage stress (such as meditation, yoga, or deep breathing exercises) may help improve sexual function.

6. Limit alcohol and caffeine intake: Both alcohol and caffeine can contribute to PE, so limiting intake may help improve sexual function.

7. Get enough sleep: Lack of sleep can contribute to PE, so aim for seven to eight hours of sleep each night to help improve sexual function.

Hope it helps.

Thanks and regards.
