Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
My eyes have become smaller over the years. It did not happen all of a sudden. They have become smaller for a few years. I use the laptop for more than 10 hours a day. Does the problem occur due to increased use of a computer? Do I need to wear anti-glare or blue cut lenses? I am taking tablets for the thyroid problem for the past four years.
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
You can share a close picture of your eyes. You might have drooping of eyelids which is known as ptosis. It gives an appearance of eyes getting smaller. When you are using a computer regularly, kindly follow these instructions. Display of your screen should have a good resolution. The height of the screen should be below the eye level. Move your eyes from the screen for every 20 minutes and gaze at an object as far as possible for 20 seconds and then get back to work. Blink your eyes for at least 15 to 20 times per minute. Whenever you click the mouse, try to blink. Take a break for every 45 minutes. Instill refresh tears eye drop to the eyes for four to six times a day. When your eyes feel tired, light your room. The light should come from behind your head, and it should not be in front of you.
