Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
My left upper eyelid is bigger than the right. Please help.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I have seen the image uploaded by you (attachment removed to protect patient identity). It is not bigger. The condition is known as ptosis, that is, the inability to move your upper lid. How long have you been like that? There are various possibilities: If it is from birth, then surgery can be done, and you will be fine after that. If it is from the past few days accompanied by a headache or associated with trauma, then it is a cerebrovascular accident. If it comes and goes, usually after the day's work, in the evening, it is myasthenia gravis. Kindly give me a detailed history.
Patient's Query
Thank you doctor,
I have this condition since five years.
Hello,
Welcome back to icliniq.com.
Is your eye closed like that for five years with no change in the position of the upper lid? Or, in the morning, does your eye open well and droop in the evening?
