Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

My interview is at the end of this month. I have public speaking anxiety. Taking Propranolol 120 mg helps a lot. But still, I feel uneasy, anxious, and sweaty. My dreams will come true if I pass on the interview. What to do?

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern. Stay relaxed. Have faith in yourself. Do not be afraid of anyone. Start preparing for your interview. If it is oral, then practice it with someone. You must talk with a proper eye to eye contact. You should stand in front of the mirror and have eye contact with your eyes. Talk with yourself. Try to know some information about your interviewer. You must know the name of your interviewer and try to know some details about him. You should be aware of the likes and dislikes in an interview. You must aware of what they are looking in a candidate for the job.

You must not hesitate when you talk in an interview. If you do not know the answer, then say no with a firm voice. You should not bluff in an interview. Be yourself and show your strength. You should try to hide your weakness smartly. Keep practicing about your interview. When you speak in an interview, you must speak with a clear voice and have proper pronunciation. Have some relaxation techniques or meditation to decrease your anxiety.

You can take tablet Clonazepam mouth dissolving 0.5 mg before the interview. It helps to relax you. Do not try to take medication directly in an interview. Try to take it at home and at the time of the interview. Have good sleep before the day of the interview. You should be fresh as it helps to use the presence of mind in an interview. You can be asked some common sense questions. But we get confused due to tiredness and so do not be awake on the night before the day of the interview.

Try to reach the place of the interview before an hour of the interview. Have proper transportation on the day of the interview. If you are living away from the interview place, then you must reach the place of the interview before a day. You must reach the place at least half an hour early before an interview. You must not go with an empty stomach for an interview.

You must have enough breakfast before going to the interview. You must not drink alcohol before the day of the interview. Wear proper clothes and use light perfume. Arrange your clothes before the day of the interview. Do not rush to find your clothes on the day of your interview.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
