Radiating Pain

The type of pain that usually starts in one area of the body but spreads to other body parts is called radiating pain. A compressed nerve generally causes it. For example, a compressed cervical nerve will result in neck pain that radiates to the arms, and sciatica is pain that radiates from the lower hip to the leg.
