Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
My face has red dots, and I feel there is more difference in the morning than the rest of the day. Yesterday, I used a vitamin C serum on my face, which caused an allergy. I am attaching the pictures for your reference. Kindly suggest.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I have reviewed the attached pictures (attachment removed to protect the patient's identity). There appears to be an irritant contact dermatitis over the cheeks and early acne. The redness will take five to seven days to subside. You need to keep applying a non-comedogenic moisturizer three to four times daily for the redness to improve. Apply Desonide cream (0.5 mg of Desonide) once at night, only over the red areas, for five days. Do not use any scrub or facials, and avoid sun exposure for an extended period. Regarding pimples, they are expected at your age and are still in the early stages. I suggest you apply 1 % Clindamycin gel only over the pimples daily at night. Do not pinch or try to pop them out, as it would lead to scars and pigmentation. I hope this helps you.
Thank you.
