Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am a 42-year-old female and I weigh 82 kg. I would like to know how to reduce my weight. I walk for 40 minutes every day and do light stretching. I do not eat any fried items. I am a vegetarian.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I can understand your concern. I would like you to know that for reducing weight, you need to do physical activity, which is cardio exercises (like a treadmill) in the beginning, and avoid fatty, fried foods as you are already doing. It would help if you give up all sedentary habits. If you cannot perform cardio exercises, you can do brisk walking daily for 45 to 50 minutes for five to six days a week. It would help if you avoided any carbonated drinks. If you feel that you have been following all the necessary steps for a healthy weight, and still gaining weight, then let me know, as it could be due to some other diseases for which I would suggest you few investigations that need to be done.

You can also follow up if you want a diet chart or any other kind of dietary advice.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
